Watercare Head Office
The Customer’s Requirement
Watercare is a council organisation, wholly owned by the Auckland Council. It provides water and wastewater services in the Auckland region.
When Watercare relocated its head office to a new building at 73 Remuera Rd, Newmarket, staff from three Watercare sites relocated into the new building, which meant space within the building was at a premium, and a key objective for Watercare was ensuring they had a cabling solution that permitted maximum flexibility into the future.
The solution encompassing Category 6A cabling has achieved this key objective as it has enabled Watercare to grow, whilst minimising the additional structured cabling requirements.
Since the initial installation, ITL Technologies have continued to support Watercare with their Infrastructure Structured cabling requirements, within Head office and their various sites within the greater Auckland area.
The Customer’s Solution
ITL proposed a Krone Category 6A Unshielded Solution for Watercare’s new premises at 73 Remuera Road Auckland.
The solution was configured so that the structured cabling serving the environment is routed via ceiling-mounted Consolidation Points. This approach allows additional workstations and office reconfigurations to be completed with minimal changes to the Floor Distribution Rooms, as new outlet ports can be connected directly to the in-ceiling Consolidation Points.
